What does Vuna actually mean?
Vuna means "harvest" in isiZulu, the Zulu language of South Africa. VUNA was founded in 2010 as a project in response to the city of Durban (South Africa) seeking a use for large quantities of separately collected urine. In 2016, the former VUNA project became Vuna GmbH.
