When visiting the facility in Emmental, you will be enchanted by the panorama, the busy worm population on the worm filter, the lush plant growth on our plant filter and the crystal-clear effluent sample.
The test tube on the left shows the effluent sample from the worm filter, the first filter stage, where all solids are retained and some of the dissolved substances are already being broken down. A slight color is still visible.
The pre-treated wastewater then flows into the second filtration stage, the plant filter with native marsh plants, where soil organisms degrade virtually all remaining substances. The water is now ready to irrigate the meadow.
