Closing the loop – and saving a 320-year-old building in the process?♻️💧
An old barn is not only saved from decay, but also transformed into a place for future-oriented, circular living.
VaLoo invites you to a guided tour of this extraordinary project: On September 18, 2026, from 5 pm in the Schüür, Kirchdorf BE.
🌱 Rainwater from the roof is used for drinking and utility water.
💧 Wastewater is treated on site and used for the vegetable garden and the duck pond.
♻️ Urine and feces become fertilizer.
🏗️ The building materials used are almost entirely recycled or recyclable.
An exciting insight for anyone interested in circular economy, sustainable building, resource-oriented sanitary systems and future-proof forms of housing.
